About Course – PADI OPEN WATER DIVER

The PADI Open Water Diver Course is your entry ticket to the underwater world. It teaches you the essential knowledge and skills to dive safely and confidently to a depth of 18 meters (60 feet)—anywhere in the world.

By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge to dive at home or abroad and be an ambassador for the underwater world.

🧭 Course Structure

The course is divided into three main sections:

  1. Knowledge Development
    Learn the basics of diving theory, safety, and equipment through classroom or online eLearning. Topics include pressure, buoyancy, breathing, dive planning, and more
  2. Confined Water Dives
    Practice basic scuba skills in a pool or shallow water. You’ll learn how to set up your gear, control your buoyancy, clear your mask, share air, and more
  3. Open Water Dives
    Complete 4 open water dives in the ocean with your instructor. This is where you apply what you’ve learned and explore real dive sites!

📜 Certification

Upon successful completion, you’ll receive the PADI Open Water Diver certification, which is internationally recognized and valid for life.

Requirements

To join the PADI Open Water Diver Course, you must be at least 10 years old, able to swim 200 meters and float for 10 minutes, and be in good health. No prior scuba experience is needed. A simple medical questionnaire must be completed—if you answer “Yes” to certain conditions, you may need a doctor’s clearance.
